He Liqun, associate professor of Psychological Research and Counseling Center (PRCC) of Southwest Jiaotong University, was invited by the School of Civil Engineering (SCE) to give a lecture themed on mental health for students in Grade 2021, which was held at 7:30pm, September 16. The themed lecture aimed at promoting psychological education and making the related work more targeted, effective and proactive, increasing students’ awareness of asking for help when they are struggling to cope with mental problems and avoiding psychological crisis effectively, thus a positive campus environment can be established.

    Students viewed the lecture from official account via livestream on Bilibili, a video-sharing site. In the lecture, professor He listed problems students may encounter when they navigate their lives and study as novice students, as well as solutions to those problems. At the same time, she also offered several tips to help students regulate mood when they are mentally unwell, and treatments for serious mental problems.

    And this lecture came to a successful conclusion at 8:30pm.
